The Opportunity


A leading global cybersecurity vendor is hiring a Global Account Manager (GAM) to own and grow one of its most strategic, globally relevant enterprise customers headquartered in Germany. This is a high-visibility role where you will operate as the single-threaded owner for a complex customer environment—driving long-term account strategy, executive alignment, and commercial outcomes across multiple geographies.


You will be selling mission-critical cybersecurity platforms and services into a sophisticated buying center, with a strong emphasis on measurable business impact, risk reduction, and large-scale transformation.



What You’ll Do


  • Global account growth: build and execute a multi-year account plan to expand footprint, increase adoption, and grow recurring revenue across global entities and business units.
  • Executive relationships: establish trusted C-level sponsorship and align stakeholders across security, IT, procurement, and key business functions.
  • Complex negotiations: lead high-level commercial negotiations (frameworks, multi-year agreements, global rollouts), ensuring sustainable value for both sides.
  • Opportunity creation: identify new business opportunities by mapping initiatives, regulatory drivers, and risk priorities—positioning solutions to tangible outcomes.
  • Orchestrate virtual teams: coordinate cross-functional internal stakeholders (SE, CS, product, partner teams) globally to win and expand strategic opportunities.
  • Strategic market insights: bring account intelligence back to the business to sharpen competitive positioning and GTM execution.



What “Good” Looks Like


  • Strong track record in global / strategic account management in cybersecurity or adjacent enterprise IT (complex solutions, multi-stakeholder deals).
  • Proven ability to link technology to business outcomes (risk, resilience, compliance, operational continuity, cost avoidance).
  • Confident in enterprise governance, procurement, legal/security reviews, and long-cycle opportunity management.
  • High autonomy, disciplined time management, and strong executive presence.



Requirements


  • 5+ years in global/strategic account management within IT / cybersecurity selling complex solutions.
  • Excellent relationship management, negotiation skills, and structured pipeline/forecast discipline.
  • Comfortable working with distributed global teams and influencing without formal authority.



Location & Travel


Germany-based. Travel as required to support the customer’s global footprint and company-wide meetings.
